Updating Obsolete CSM Listing Types for Shopify & WooCommerce Variants –
This upgrade notification applies to the following Suite Engine extensions:
Discovery
In a recent review of Channel Sales Manager, Suite Engine discovered what appears to be duplicate Variant options for CSM listings:
Upon investigation, it was determined that CSM’s Shopify and WooCommerce extensions added these options. This functionality has been replaced by the Variation listing type, marking these options as obsolete. They will be removed from the product in October 2025.
If you are working with the Shopify and/or WooCommerce extensions and have CSM listings with this obsolete Variant option, you must update them to the Variation option. Before doing so, please review any customizations you have to ensure that nothing breaks when you update your CSM listings.
To update your CSM listings:
- Install the latest version of your CSM extension (the version installed in your environment must be the same as or later than the version in the above table).
- In Business Central, open the CSM Setup
- Choose the Related ribbon, then choose the CSM Triggers
- On the CSM Triggers page, locate the line with the trigger ID UPDVARIANTTYPE. Confirm that the Independent Execution field for this line has been checked.
- Choose the Execute action in the ribbon.
Executing this trigger will perform the following actions:
- All CSM listings for your Shopify and/or WooCommerce channels with a product type of Variant will be updated to have a product type of Variation.
- Going forward, attempting to assign a product type of Variant to a Shopify and/or WooCommerce CSM listing will result in an error.
