This video introduces the Planned Maintenance feature within RPM, which enables users to set up and manage scheduled maintenance tasks for individual units based on time intervals, usage readings, or both. Through customizable service cadences, detailed records of required parts, labor, and costs, as well as automatic scheduling and tracking of work orders, it helps ensure proactive asset maintenance and streamlined operational efficiency.

Overview

Tom from Suite Engine introduces the Planned Maintenance functionality in the RPM unit, which allows users to schedule and manage recurring maintenance tasks for equipment.

Key Features Demonstrated

  1. Accessing Planned Maintenance
    • From the unit card, users can select the Planned Maintenance option to view or set up maintenance tasks.
  2. Maintenance Types
    • The example shows three types of planned maintenance for a unit:
      • Hydraulic Flush
      • Lower Crane Service
      • Oil Change
  3. Hydraulic Flush Example
    • Identified with a work code “Hydraulic.”
    • Scheduled every 6 months or 500 hours.
    • Includes:
      • Default service type: PM (Preventive Maintenance)
      • Unit of measure: Hours
      • Parts: 1 gallon of hydraulic fluid
      • Labor: 2 hours with a work type code (e.g., internal, overtime)
  4. Scheduling
    • Based on start date and base reading, the system auto-generates the maintenance schedule.
    • Completed maintenance is linked to the corresponding work order for easy access.
  5. Other Maintenance Examples
    • Lower Crane Service: Scheduled every 6 months (time-based only).
    • Oil Change: Scheduled every 3 months or 500 hours.
